Ok, then, in your options, did you check "Poll all folders for new
mail" in the "New Mail" section of IMP's options?  That should be
unchecked, obviously, if you don't want to check all your folders for
new mail...
You were right, that did it. I missed that option. Thanks alot!

Sure there is. Select the folder(s) that you want to change, the look
at the drop down where it says "Choose Action". Click on "Do not
check for new mail"
Sorry there isn´t. There is (might not be 100% accurate, as I
translate it back from German)... "Create Folder", "Rename", "Delete",
"Empty", "Clean Up", "Mark as read", "Mark as unread", "Download",
"Download as ZIP", "Import messages", "Show size" and "Refresh
tree"... Thats it...

Why can't you just select to not have your spam folder checked for
new mail?  Look on the 'Folders' page.
Hmm I just did that (You are referring to the "Folders" page where you
get via the Folders icon in IMP?)... There is no option whether to
check a folder for new Email or not. I am using IMP with an IMAP
Server (Dovecot). I have tried it with and without IMAP Folder
Subscription enabled.

I´d like to have the option to exclude the Junk-Mail Folder from the
Virtual-Inbox and to exclude the Junk-Mails from the count of the
number of new messages.
