I'd like this in 1.0, but with the caveat that this option would only be enabled when uploading an admin-configurable maximum of images...and only when uploading via Ansel's UI, not via XP Publish or other future mechanisms.

Allow a configuration choice for allowing at least the generic thumbnail and screen views to be generated on image upload. Maybe provide a maximum number of images per upload to allow this on? If this is enabled, we should have a user pref to allow faces to be auto detected on upload (if php extension is available)...
