as I know, since the owner of the item by definition can do whatever
to it...
as Kolab doesn't support chaning the owner of a share (=IMAP folder).
If the Auth backend doesn't have the "list" capability, it shows a
free text entry field and the checbboxes. Why are the checkboxes there
in the first place?

currently it's only possible to change the permissions for the owner
of a share
if the owner itself gets changed. Attached patch fixes the issue.
