MIME::encodeAddress, which takes care of quoting, before saying
they're not sendable. I've done something similar in Kronolith now.

address book or be entered into the "Add attendees" box. After
entering the names in the "Add attendees" box the search function is
looking for the data. The correct information will be found. but the
attendee's name is not quoted. If the name contains special
characters, for example German Umlaute, the pear mail package cannot
process the address and causes an error.
