I hate to bring this up again, but 5 years after it still doesn't work for me in Horde 4.0/IMP 5.0 RC2 :) Any pointers where exactly should I put some code to start debuging this one?

sorry, my imap server is : imap-uw-2004g-plaintext and NOT cyrus-imap as I said it....

I suspect that it might be related to Cyrus namespace detection behaviour or particular Cyrus config. I'm using : openbsd 3.8 apache 1.3 + php 5.0.4 cyrus imap 2.2.12 so no common pattern .....

Let's try to find a common pattern. I'm using Cyrus IMAP 2.2.3 server on Redhat Enterprise Linux 3.0 box with Apache2/PHP 4.3.2

I have the same problem. horde 3.1.1 and imp 4.1.1. and alert popup for new mail doesn't appear anymore .... I tested it on IE and Firefox

This screenshot was made just after I posted last comment and new mail arrived from bugs.horde.org (all IE windows was closed before). As you can see popup only tells about new mail in horde.dev folder and not INBOX.

Ghm, very strange things happening here. It seems that is not only summary block that is malfunctioning. Forget everything I said before and let me start from the beginning. If new mail arrives and I login, the is no popup at first time. After I read new messages I always go to Folder Navigator and wait for mail here. And only after second bunch of messages arrive I get JS popup. This works exactly the same in summary block too. I'm not using any filters. And I don't think it could be related to maintenance, because I see popup only after I go to inbox and read new messages one time.

It seems that this behaviour is common to IMP summary portal block only.

Works for me. Make sure you aren't running other processes on INBOX that is clearing the new flag before IMP can check for it (i.e. filtering via ingo and the imap driver).

I don't get new mail popup when there are new messages in INBOX folder anymore. When mail arrives into one of the other folders popup is displayed, but if recent messages are only in INBOX there is no popup. This behaviour is common for the HEAD code of last month or so. I'm using Cyrus IMAP server.
