No, the customization should allow to select the attributes you want 
to have in the results, and it should display all results, even with 
empty attributes.

I'll try to next week, but I'm leaving on vacation soon so it won't be 
today.  Are you looking for this to display results if found, 
otherwise hide the label?  For instance, if a phone number is found, 
Phone: 555-1212, else nothing?

Are you going to provide an updated patch?

Such a customization is even necessary for the patch to be accepted, 
because the source might not even have a phone number.

Here's a real simple patch that adds a feature my secretary requested, 
which is display of a phone number in search results.  It provides a 
quick way to lookup a user, to find a phone number to transfer to for 
an incoming call, for instance.



Looking to the day when all PCs have soft-phone software installed, 
expand this to click the link and invoke the helper soft-phone 
application.



Or, another thought I had was to provide an option in the minisearch 
portal block layout, to specify which attributes to return with search 
results.  This way people could customize what they want to see.
