Are you using SMTP authentication for submitting messages? If so, the
notification system is badly broken.

The problem is that it is not possible to configure a password for the
$conf[reminder][from_addr] in horde/kronolith/config/conf.php. Since
the alarm system will not have access to the (IMAP) password for the
calendar owner either, it is impossible to set a correct MAIL FROM
address. The last time I checked, it used the RCPT TO address (see Bug
#12678).

Event alarms are not being received by the calender owner 'A' under the
following criteria.

User 'A' has shared his calender with user 'B' for all purposes.

User 'B' is basically a Personal Assistant to user 'A'.

User 'B' is adding the events for user 'A'  in User 'A' calender.

User 'A' is able to see the events added in his calender and it also shows
that the owner is 'B'.

In this scenario, User 'A' gets daily agenda (even for the events
created by 'B' in 'A''s calender) but event reminders (alarm before
event starts) are not received by mail by user 'A'.
