I'm sorry, but it doesn't make any sense to me to add icons to
*other* users' calendars. This could even be considered a leak of
information, because I shouldn't not know how other users have set
permissions, other than the permissions affecting me personally.
well, the patch that i send, only added icon's to user calendars...

I don't have public permissions for other calendars available in javascript,

my original idea was to add icon to others calendars/tasklists too, yes,

but for that i need to change kronolith code to retrieve show, edit
and public permission to others calendars.

Thanks for discussing this subject, anyway,

good work.

Maybe I'm still not understanding this correctly.
Are you talking about calendars from other users? Those are already
clearly distinguishable because public they are all in the "Shared
Calendars" section, and the public calendars don't have the owner
name attached.
when i say public, is a calendar from other user with share
permissions 6 in guest and default fields

In Dynamic view, in Sharing tab, basic options:

"Share with everyone (public) and  make it searchable by everyone too"
option set

even without showing the owners name in a long list is nice to have
the public icon in my opinon.

and If a calendar from other owner is shared and has also has public
permissions set, in advanced Sharing options this is possible, the the
two icons shows the difference to a "normal" shared calendar from
other owner that has no public permissions.
Or are you talking about the user's calendars, shared with others?
That's what I thought.

Ah, sorry, I misread the patch. So this is just to bring the dynamic
view in line with the basic view. I'd still only want the share
icon, independent on whether this is shared with the public. If you
change the patch to that, and work a bit on the coding style, I'm
going to apply it.
Ok, Jan,

My original problem was that two calendars, one public, the other
shared with users had the same share icon,

if a user has public calendars subscribed and has shared calendars
subscribed wil see in the list, the type of share permissions without
need to open the calendar and go to permissions tab to notice the
difference.

simple as that.

If you don't like my idea, please close the ticket again :-)

This would be duplicate information, because you would basically
mark all events of a calendar with some icon, while all events of
that calendar are already marked by the the same color.
Beside that, this would overcrowd the event bubble with icons IMO,
especially since we are going to re-add the icons for private and
delete to the events, that we already have in the basic view.
My patch is only to change calendars list and tasklist list on
sidebar, showing if they are public with one icon and if they are
shared with other (the one existent for shares) in Dynamic view.

No changes to event icons or colors.
