Can't reproduce. Editing a multipart/alternative with a text and a html part correctly loads the editor for the HTML part. (...although on unrelated note, I wonder if that is correct. I don't have HTML compose by default, so wondering if the correct behavior would be to edit text instead. Although I could see the desire to edit a richer format, with the option to downgrade if needed).

If editing a (non-draft) html message as new, the rte mode is not loaded.
