I personally don't see the need for this notification, the UI makes 
it pretty clear that the user is added...
Alright, let's keep it like it is. If this should turn into a FAQ from 
the users, we can still add it.

I'd even prefer if I were attendee of my own events by default even 
if there are no other attendees.
Why? What would be the benefit?

That would turn any event into a meeting, which might trigger all kind 
of actions or different behavior in Kronolith.

Hi,

when you create a new event and add an attendee, the email address of 
the default identity is added, too. This certainly makes sense, it's 
just surprising to the users.

It would be very nice if a small tooltip could be shown next the the 
"surprising" attendee's address that explains why it was added. I 
don't know if our javascript framework supports such fancy tooltips.
