ok it seems to be the same issue like in Bug #10645
Not quite. Bug: 10645 is related to the hashes table. The *only*
time those values are used is when we are deleting the cached image
files.
Actually, I was wrong about this. The ansel_hashes table *is* only
used when deleting the cached image files, but this happens after
editing and saving the image. So, without a hashes entry, the image is
never deleted, therefore it is never regenerated from the new "screen"
image that was saved after editing.

Marking as duplicate.

i could only solve this issue by deleting all subdirectorys
directorys except the full subdirectory for that image, perhaps
thats the solution
I don't think so. The problem isn't that the images are not being
regenerated, it's that the browser doesn't see them as updated since
the files' names are the same.

This is almost certainly a browser caching issue. I have found some
browsers. Damn near refuse to let go of a cached image in certain
cases. I use this feature all the time and occasionally see this.
After a number of cache cleaning attempts the image is refreshed.

Open to suggestions on how to handle this in code...

i have rotated some pictures in ansel and saved this. now when i'm
back in the gallery view the pictures are still rotated here. when i
open the picture everything is right. i also tried the gallery menu
points "reset preview" and "recreate photo views" nothing helped. i
also opened it in another browser with empty browser cache, but still
the same
