I don't. My test: open compose window, change base window to non-imp page (e.g. portal), send/message or click on close icon. In both cases, the popup window closes just fine.

After sending a message with the DIMP compose popup, the window isn't closed if the base window had disappeared. The close icon doesn't work anymore either. If you confirm the closing, the window still keeps open.
