OK, so the session is created. It was a bug in preference check logic. Patch attached.

This also could be related: in H4 final and H4.0.1 (and related applications) the only place where I see last login time and warning about test pages enabled is Ingo. If was correctly displayed in Portal or IMP in the RC2.

There is an auto_update preference for that backend. I've followed the code to Ingo::createSession(); on line: $session->set('ingo', 'script_generate', $ingo_script->generateAvailable()); Which seem doesn't do anything.

The preference menu entry is not there because there are no preferences if using such a backend.

For some strange reason $session variable is populated with Ingo data in Ingo::sessionCreate(). Because of that, preferences menu is not available in Ingo if using Script backends. is not populated :)
