This has been fixed in the stable version by raising a popup notice
when the session is about to expire.

In IMP 4, one can simply login and continue the message if the session
timed out when you hit the send send button.

Actually, I am not sure which release this applies to, because I don't
know what release my hosting company is using. If this problem has not
already been addressed, I would be willing to address it myself. The
symptom is this:

From time to time I will be composing a message and my session will
time out. When I click send the compose window closes as if the mail
was sent, but it doesn't get sent, it just disappears. I have to go
back to my main webmail page, click on something and discover that I
have been timed out, log back in, check my Sent Mail folder, then
recompose the email. It's a royal pain in the ...

The problem seems twofold. First, not all activity contributes to
keeping me from timing out or leads to the login page once I have been
timed out (clicking the Compose link for instance). Second, (and more
to the point), the compose page does not detect that it is unable to
properly connect back to the server and send the email before it
closes. Is this a previously known issue that has been addressed? If
not, I'd like a crack at addressing it.
