This is indeed not possible because colors are tied to the
calendars, and you don't own that calendar.
Thank you,  Jan Schneider.

Yes, I don't own the calendar - thats why I say I want to change the
color the calendar is shown in FOR ME and not for everybody. I would
be surprised if that was not possible, because obviously everybody has
a unique taste and even putting this aside it is obvious that there
will be colour-code collisions when people add calendars from
different sources ...

Still not a bug. Changing colors of all calendars works here, so
almost certainly not a bug. Please use the mailinglists for support,
after upgrading to the latest version of Kronolith.
I think it is a strange philosophy to say "I can't reproduce this, so
this cannot be a bug", but I will write to the mailing list.

This is a support question, not a bug report. Changing colors of
remote calendars works fine here, so this is almost certainly not a
bug.
I am NOT talking about remote calendars, but other users calendars aka
shared calendars

Before doing anything else, upgrade to the latest version of
Kronolith. Yours is seriously out-of-date and contains a couple of XSS
vulnerabilities.

This is a support question, not a bug report. Changing colors of
remote calendars works fine here, so this is almost certainly not a bug.

Please use the mailing lists to ask for support.

https://www.horde.org/community/mail/ contains a list of all available
mailing lists.

In the Web-UI I can change only the color of my own calendar, not the
one of user users calender (as shown for me - of course I cannot and
don't want to change the color of their calendars as shown to them)

If I change the color on client-site the changes will be overwritten
on next sync.

The one thing is that I don't like some of their colors, the more
important thing is that different calendars look-alike
