AFAIK it is not possible to "focus" a DIV, like the preview message
for example, to catch keystrokes in that element.

recall the discussion. Is it somehow possible to not lose the ability
to navigate the preview area with arrow/page/home/end keys? I know
that the key handlers are registered on the whole document, but is it
possible to detect if the preview is focused and let the events bubble
in this case?
