I logged in/out multiple times, but there must have been a stale cahce entry somewhere...logging in again today the problem is not present.

Did you logout/login after updating? And did you clear all cache entries after the CVS update? We are not going to put in an extra empty() check there because 'hd' will exist at all times in the future if the cached entry exists.Patch ⇒
