Probably makes sense. It seems to cause more problems than it fixes.

I'm not too fond of the textareas either, and see Bug 6460. How about
reverting this for 4.2?

Since it is a textarea now, once a row is filled, rather than
scrolling right as it would do with an input field, the text instead
wraps down to the next line which isn't shown (the textarea is
defined with 1 row).
I know, this is not optimal. The idea was to allow multirow address
fields like in DIMP by simply changing the CSS or creating a custom
theme. Though I didn't hear any complaints so far.

No.  That's why we wrote DIMP.  Javascript-y goodness like this
belongs in DIMP not IMP.

That being said, this change screws things up for me:

When composing a message, is it possible to automatically shrink/grow
fields like body, from, to, subject...  depending of the size of the
compose window ?(like in DIMP)

Thanks,

Ronan
