Bug 6460. How aboutreverting this for 4.2?
scrolling right as it would do with an input field, the text instead
wraps down to the next line which isn't shown (the textarea is
defined with 1 row).
fields like in DIMP by simply changing the CSS or creating a custom
theme. Though I didn't hear any complaints so far.

belongs in DIMP not IMP.
That being said, this change screws things up for me:
http://cvs.horde.org/co.php?sa=1&r=2.37&f=imp%2Ftemplates%2Fcompose%2Fcompose.html
Since it is a textarea now, once a row is filled, rather than
scrolling right as it would do with an input field, the text instead
wraps down to the next line which isn't shown (the textarea is defined
with 1 row).
