So it's discouraged.  But not forbidden.  This statement doesn't change anyth
Anyway, if my address is test@example.com and i get e-mail to 
Test@example.com, i think we can assume that also this address is 
mine. Why don't treat it like that?
How can we assume that?  The default action MUST be what the standard 
says - that these e-mail addresses are not necessarily the same.
What about to make this configurable?
Patches are welcome.  But that is an enhancement and this was reported 
as a bug (which it is not).

The local part of an email address IS case sensitive. See RFC 2821.

Part of the e-mail address *before* the @ sign is case-sensitive for 
IMP. When you set your address to, for example, test@example.com and 
someone sends you e-mail to Test@example.com, IMP is *NOT* considering 
this as your address, which results to:
1.) Message is not marked as Personal.
2.) Your address is added into CC when you are answering to such messages.
