Ask the Lightning folks. :)

You probably need to manually synchronize when using caching, or wait 
longer until the changes are propagated. Or it's a bug in Lightning.

Just found out, that it works correctly, when not setting the checkbox 
for caching in lightning. Is it recommended not to enable caching?

Alarmed events will pop up again and  again in Lightning. Dismissing 
events won't work for me, they pop up  some time later.  Can somebody 
reproduce this with the most current  version of horde/kronolith and 
thunderbird/lightning?
