My guess is that Text Filtering is breaking for you somehow. Most likely URL linking (since I personally see the beginning of that ldap string linked). So you might want to look at Horde_Text_Filter_Linkurls. There have been issues in the past dealing with the recursion callback limits in PCRE (and PHP unwisely decides to throw a useful error response), but since none of us can reproduce this probably is not likely the issue.

There is no error at all even in Horde DEBUG Mode. Nothing in Apache or other logfiles. It is easily reproduceable on a second testsystem so it is a common problem. I can send the debug output but any hints how to dig further are welcome.

No, the message rendering is the same for traditional and dynamic view, and it's completely irrelevant to LDAP. Please follow the hints at http://wiki.horde.org/FAQ/Admin/Troubleshoot#wsod to generate and find a useful error message.

If a mail contains a ldap:// URI like shown in the attached mail, no message display is possible. IMP show a "Text-Nachrichtenteil" link, but on clicking only a empty window is displayed.
