Hello,

thank you for all your effort. Unfortunately it did not help.

I gave up and moved my horde server to a FC6. (tared at old box and
untarred on the new)... and everything worked.

Means, that the problem was not in my horde config variables, but in
horde behaviour when it runs in an old environment (RH 7.3, PHPCGI etc).

This is not a sole ticket that targets problem between CGI and module
PHP behaviour - but there are not that many oldtimes, like me, who run
a such old system, therfore these problems are hard to reproduce and
are low prioritized.

Regardless, the old environment is not available online any more. If
you wish I can put it online and provide access information if you
would like to investigate this issue from "inside".

Thank you again.

Best regards,

Z

I have checked out from CVS without any tags... should I used some tags?
No tags == HEAD.
Regardless, I have downloaded snapshots from today. Installed horde
and imp - and the problem still persists :(
According to your test page you're using Horde 3.1.3, meaning you
never tested the updates that Michael did. And again, the problem is
not with the code - you don't have the right files in your
include_path. Read docs/INSTALL!

Chuck,
HEAD isn't broken; you need to properly install the framework packages.

Hi,

on day when I posted my last post (11/06/2006) host was running on the
last CVS version... unfortunately I can not appreciat myself to every
day update "production" system to last CVS version.

BTW - I was planning to update agan to last CVS version today, and it
crashes with: PHP Fatal error:  main(): Failed opening required
'Horde/String.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in
/var/www/html/horde/lib/Horde/Browser.php on line 3, referer:
http://www.polarhome.com/horde/admin/setup/

Seems it can not find String.php

Thank you in advance for working on that... and I'll try to upgrade to
CVS version as soon you have a working version.

Regards,

Z

According to your test page, you are *not* running the latest CVS versions.

hi,
Some of the changes were in Horde as well.
I tested with CVS horde now - no success.

The URL that maintenance page loads is still not found:

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/imp/redirect.php/horde/imp/redirect.php?nocache=5rmphbiurfr4&maintenance_done=1&domaintenance=1

... because of extra "horde/imp/redirect.php/" in the URL.

:)

Thank you for your effort.

Regrads,

Z

Hello,
Did Michael's recent changes or Vilius' patch help with this?
Unfortunately not.

I have co the imp's CVS code and I still get error after maintenace page.

You can try yourself.

Please tell me if I can help you somehow to fix the problem. On the
site all diagnostic is enabled.

Thank you in advance.

hi,
You didn't tell us if my answer to your last question did help anything.
Unfortunatelly, not... but for security reason I have tried one more time.

I have changed horde stanza to:

$this->applications['horde'] = array(

     'fileroot' => dirname(__FILE__) . '/..',

//    'webroot' => $webroot,

     'webroot' => '/horde',

     'initial_page' => 'login.php',

     'name' => _("WebMail"),

     'status' => 'active',

     'templates' => dirname(__FILE__) . '/../templates',

     'provides' => 'horde'

);

and I still get the following url agter chosing whatever after
meintenance screen.

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/imp/redirect.php/horde/imp/redirect.php?nocache=1lohkkx36bi&maintenance_done=1&domaintenance=1

Obviously "horde/imp/redirect.php" occurs two times.

Thank you in advance...

1. I do not understand where to set webroot to a fixed value.
In the registry stanza for 'horde'.
2. if you check the url that is not found:

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/imp/redirect.php/horde/imp/redirect.php?nocache=3pv7ahppubi8&maintenance_done=1&domaintenance=1

it is easy to see that "/horde/imp/redirect.php" is written two
times. Is that OK?
No, of course not.

Hi Jan

Thank you for the constructive and competent reply.

But I still  have some questions, if you allow:

1. I do not understand where to set webroot to a fixed value.

You mean here:

$this->applications['imp'] = array(

     'fileroot' => dirname(__FILE__) . '/../imp',

     'webroot' => $this->applications['horde']['webroot'] . '/imp',

     'name' => _("Mail"),

     'status' => 'active',

     'provides' => 'mail',

);

to

$this->applications['imp'] = array(

     'fileroot' => dirname(__FILE__) . '/../imp',

     'webroot' => '/horde/imp',

     'name' => _("Mail"),

     'status' => 'active',

     'provides' => 'mail',

);

2. if you check the url that is not found:

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/imp/redirect.php/horde/imp/redirect.php?nocache=3pv7ahppubi8&maintenance_done=1&domaintenance=1

it is easy to see that "/horde/imp/redirect.php" is written two times.
Is that OK?

When I manually edit the failed URL and remove that part from the URL
transforming it to:

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/imp/redirect.php?nocache=3pv7ahppubi8&maintenance_done=1&domaintenance=1

it works perfect...

3. You may try it yourself with:

username: guest

password: guest

server  : alpha.polarhome.com

at http://www.polarhome.com/horde/

Thank you very much for competent help.

regards,

Z

Try setting the webroot setting in config/registry.php to a fixed value.

If you are able to guide me how to reduce time - to this maintenance
menu appears more often,
You can choose the maintenance task to empty the trash folder and let
it run on each login.

I use and tried with IE 6

You can check the system configuration at
http://www.polarhome.com/horde/test.php

I haven't seen any javascript error.

I can reproduce on accouts thta have not been access for a while.

If you are able to guide me how to reduce time - to this maintenance
menu appears more often, I can easily grant you access to polarhome
hosts in order to get this bug solved ASAP.

Thank you in advance.

I can't reproduce this. Which Horde version are you using, and does
this happen with all browsers? Also, do you get a javascript error in
the javascript console if you click on skip?
2006-07-27 12:27:07 zoli (at) polarhome (dot) com Comment #3 Reply to this comment
hi,

sorry for late response, but I haven't had any account where
maintenance was needed., therefore i could not reproduce the error.

But now I got one, and I can send you the exact pages.

After successful login the following (maintenance) page appears:

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/services/maintenance.php?module=imp&domaintenance=1

By choosing "skip" the following page is loaded:

http://www.polarhome.com/horde/imp/redirect.php/horde/imp/redirect.php?nocache=41jebe2gjc1s&maintenance_done=1&domaintenance=1

... this page IS NOT FOUND.

But seems maintenance is done, because during next logon the
maintenance page with question does not appear any more.

Thank you in advance.

Zoltan Arpadffy
