As far as I know, someone's working on collapsable threads at the moment. Maybe we can go from there, once it has been committed.

The preview feature has already been implemented in IMP 4.

I have two feature requests. 1. Display messages with collapsible menus for date or sender similar to the following: + One Week Ago + Two Weeks Ago - Three Weeks Ago Bob Bob 8 May 2004 IMP Improvement Suggestion 2 Bob Bob 6 May 2004 IMP Improvement Suggestion 1 + One Month Ago 2. A message preview option. I realize this one may be a bit more difficult as there would need to be some way to distinguish between when someone only wanted the preview or the full message display but it can be a REALLY nice feature for looking at messages at a glance.
