   <description>with horde-3.3.10
kronolith-h3-2.3.4

microsoft office 2007
funambol outlook sync client 8.7.2

there is problem with importing recurring events from outlook with funambol sync.

recurring events set with a number of recurrence are in fact added with the value that was set for last day :&quot;YYYYMMDD&quot; . so they are added for &quot;YYMMDD&quot; iterations.

recurring events that are set for ending at date &quot;YYYYMMDD&quot;, are also import as &quot;YYYYMMDD&quot; times repetition.

syncml log data.txt is attached for
- first a recurring 10 times events in outlook (with unselected value for end date of 2011/03/12) that was added as a 110312 times recurrence.
- second a recurring until 2011/01/26 in outlook that is inserted as a 110126 times recurrence

Hello,

what tells you that these events are broken (it might help me to debug)?

what version of outlook are you using?

What version of funambol oulook sync client are you using ?

My version rpm is 3.3.10
# rpm -qa horde
horde-3.3.10-1.el4.sme

it is a version packaged for sme server, i might check for the patch applied too, but import works just fine from a sunbird or lighning client.

Further more i can&#039;t check for any bug about correcting this for the 3.3.10, could you point me this ? (last post found on the subject is in 2006)

sincerely

&gt; Hello,
&gt;
&gt; what tells you that these events are broken (it might help me to debug)?

They contain both an end date and a counter in the recurrence rule. Only one of those is allowed.

&gt; what version of outlook are you using?

I don&#039;t use Outlook.

&gt; What version of funambol oulook sync client are you using ?

See above.

Because they don&#039;t produce invalid iCalendar data.
