I am using IMP 4.3.6 and Horde 3.3.6 with Apache 2.2.14 on Ubuntu Server 10.04 (64-bit).

I am unable to view or download S/MIME attachments. It doesn't matter if the encrypted mail was sent by IMP or by some other mailer. View and download of non-encrypted attachments works fine. I have tried accessing the same IMAP account via Thunderbird and for the very same S/MIME emails, the attachments can be properly viewed and downloaded.

When I try to view or download the file, the browser just shows a blank screen. This is similar to the behavior of ticket 9301, except the thumbnail does not show. In addition, there are no errors in the apache log file (in 9301 there was a segmentation fault), nor are there any errors in the horde log file. I tried following the FAQ guidance to enable for detailed logging, but no errors are seen as a result. In horde3/conf.php my debug_level is E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED. This is the same value as error_reporting in php.ini. My log priority is PEAR_LOG_WARNING, but I have also tried PEAR_LOG_INFO with no different results.

In the apache2 access log, I see the GET for the request and the status code is 200 but the response byte count is too small for the attachment.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your help on this issue. I think Horde is one

Thank you for your help on this issue. I think Horde is one of the
better webmail/groupware applications out there and I hope to get it
working soon. Currently I have an problem receiving Emails with
digital signatures. If I receive an Email with a digital signature I
get a white screen in horde when I try to open the Email. I can send
signatures to others and also encrypt files and they work fine with
other email programs. If I sign an email and send it to myself I get a
white screen in horde as well. If I encrypt a file and don't sign it
and send it to myself it opens fine
with no problem. If I receive an encrypted file from others with no
signature but encrypted it also opens with no problem.

I am using Fedora 10 with PHP Version 5.2.9, Apache version 2.2.10 and
MySQL version 5.0.67. I'm not sure what version of linux works best
with horde webmail with no problems but I would like to know what is
the accepted view on that. Again thank you for your help.

> We don't see this. At least you need to provide example messages that
> trigger this.

The messages are all S/MIME encrypted. I can't provide you the private keys necessary to decrypt any message I would post. It also doesn't seem wise to post the encrypted message in a public forum.

Perhaps there is some logging or other change that I can put in place to gather data that will be useful?

Thanks.
