I want to use it, because I want to implement calendar, tasks and maybe address book features later. The next thought is, there are server, which are blocking imap and pop from outside. They only allow checking via IMP and https from outside the company network. Yes, I know tls or ssl would do this job also, but that is an admin problem. And maybe it my makes HORDE more popular.
