Fri, 10 Apr 2026 17:02:27 +0000 https://bugs.horde.org/ticket/8624 IMAP connection broken when delete large size of email I found recently the IMP gives me this "[CLOSED] IMAP connection broken (server response)" error message when deleting large size of emails, says around 10MB. This message comes up around 3~4 mins later, and I need to click Inbox to go back. Both the Inbox and the trash box shows up the message just intended to delete. I found the error message comes out from IMAP/Cache.php line 195. It intends to check the IMAP connection cache status. The IMP Horde version is 3.3.4. I am running dovecot as IMAP daemon and imap-2007e C library. Besides IMP, pine, mailx and other client programs are provided to the users. The problem only occurs when using IMP, pine, mailx and other programs are fine to delete even large size of emails. Does anyone has idea about this issue? it is likely a bug and something else?
