   <description>I am using a i18n-German Horde/Kolab-Webclient. On first login (quite a while ago) the default kolab resource folders were created in German (Kalendar, Kontakte, Aufgaben, etc.).

With a former version of KDE Kontact (KDE3) Kontact recognized these folders as the default kolab resource folders (and did not create any new default resource folders).

However, now I encountered a phenomenon with a rather latest KDE Kontact (4.2.0). A German Kontact creates default kolab resource folders in English (i.e. they are named: Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, etc.), although the default folders exist in German. After the first start of the new Kontact I then had two default folders for each kolab resource (Kalendar + Calendar, Contacts + Kontakte, etc.). After a second (or a third) KMail sync, my original German kolab resource folders were lost and i had empty English ones left...

So, how about the default kolab resource folder naming scheme. Kontact alludes that the default folders are called Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, etc. My new German Kontact translates these default kolab resource folders to German. Thus, I think Horde should behave similarly: Create English default folders and translate them on the fly into German when displayed (getTitle() in Kolab/Storage/Folders.php).

For the on-the-fly translation into the i18n-lang I have added a patch...

   <description>&gt; I am using a i18n-German Horde/Kolab-Webclient. On first login (quite

Which is the correct behaviour as described by the Kolab format specification.

If this is the case I would consider it to be a kontact bug as it is against the specs. Please open a bug report on kolab.org. Make sure you include the exact version of the Kontact client you are using. Did you ensure that you use a Kolab specific release of Kontact? I have no real overview of the Kontact development but as far as I know you definitely need to use the special releases from the Kolab team.

&gt;
