I have elected to revisit Horde and in doing so ran into an issue on first addition to address entry. I typed in John Smith, and saved it. I went back to improve listing by alphbetical arrangement and so edited John Smith to Smith, John. Everything makes change except for the list which will not reflect the change. It remains aphabetically correct, but to the old John Smith entry. Passing curser over name pops up contect window that says Smith, John. I am afraid I don't know the version of this ap. It is being used by Hostmonster.com

Chuck, you are not reading the email.

I wil state the case again.

I enter the name John Smith into the address book.

I decide to edit the name to Smith, John.

The Browse list in the address book does not make the change.

The pop up context window curser rollover, shows Smith, John.

Everything else shows Smth, John.

The list keeps re-sorting name base correctly, but with John Smith instead of Smith, John.

I know I can make the first name last, or the last name first, apparently HORDE doesn't.

This is not a support forum, it's a bug tracker...this is not a bug, unless of course you found the user preference under Options->Address Book->Name Format, set it correctly, and it still does not work as expected.

Your point is well taken. My apologies.

For what it is worth, if you click on an address name and select edit, and then you enter a last name/first name separated by a comma, everything works except for the list. The list will not change. This may not be a bug, but then no option should be offered if it cannot be accomplished, in other words an improper entry alarm might be a nice feature.

I won't trouble you any further.
