Section 5 of that RFC talks about the Auto-Submitted header, which is what you actually would like to add to every mail that Horde sends automatically. Please add it to Horde, it would make a lot of mail admins a lot happier :-)</description>

Is anybody actually using this header? I have never heard of it or seen it in the wild before.</description>

I have. Newer versions of the vacation program definitely do use it. An increasing number of applications are filtering on these headers, for example Exim:
