Nope. But that error would have happened on pageload (it was an issue with the DOM ready code). Sounds like this is happening after all the code is loaded. But until I can reproduce (I can't) or someone figures out where this error is coming from, there isn't a whole lot I'm going to be able to do about this report.

We also can reproduce the problem at least with IE 6. I was also told by a colleague that something similar also happens in Firefox (but much less often), but I personally did not see this.

If we're able to narrow it down, I'll write a comment to this bug report.

I believe I found a way to reproduce it:

1. login into DIMP

2. select a mail in the inbox (so that the line is highlighted and a green checkmark is on the left side of the line)

3. click into the search box - the search options appear

4. click onto the [x] of these search options

on our IE 6 Systems we get the stack overflow at this click, with the IE 7 on my System the click does nothing (= it does not close the search options). After that I cannot change the search fields (all, from, to, subject) anymore and if I click on "drafts" I get the "Stack overflow" in IE7 too.

Hope this helps.

> I believe I found a way to reproduce it:

I wasn't able to reproduce the "Stack Overflow at line: 2" using your method, but

I was able to reproduce the error message with these steps:

1. Log in using Dynamic mode

2. Click on a message in my Inbox so I can preview the message

3. Click on another folder in the side bar (i.e. Sent or Trash)

4. The error pops up and message is unchecked

5. Click on the same folder, and I see the contents.

(note: the stack overflow message doesn't seem to cause any bad side

effects that I have noticed, just the annoying message pops up.)

This is only in IE (version 7.0 tested) on a Windows XP SP3 system.

When using Firefox v3.0, I don't get this behavior. This is what happens

when I use Firefox 3 on the same WinXP SP3 system:

1. Log in using Dynamic mode

2. Click on a message in my Inbox so I can preview the message

3. Click on another folder in the side bar (i.e. Sent or Trash)

4. Message is unchecked, but I don't see contents of other folder

5. Click on the same folder, and I see the contents.

I have checked the behavior on Mac OS X v10.4.11 with Safari v3.1.2

and Firefox v3.0 and both Mac browsers behaved the same way

Firefox v3.0 behaved in WinXP SP3.

I also checked the behavior on OpenSuSE 10.3 and Firefox 2.0.0.15,

and it behaved the same as Firefox 3.0 in WinXP SP3.

I hope this helps.

Can't reproduce using either IE 6 or FF 3 (that's all I have available to me at the moment). Are all of you using the latest HEAD (or snapshot) of DIMP? DIMP's code has changed so much since 1.0 that, quite honestly, bug reports against 1.0 are not very useful anymore.

No, we are using Groupware Webmail Edition 1.1.1, which looks like it's

using DIMP H3 (1.0) from May 25, 2008, so this is probably why we're

seeing the problem and you aren't. We'll look into updating to the latest

snapshot, then testing again.

Thanks.

For confirmation/completion:

I updated DIMP to the latest in the CVS tree, and I can not duplicate the

problem any more.
