Sounds like the sender is missing in the SMTP's MAIL FROM field. And this is MDN is really created while clicking on the notification link in Horde Groupware? I.e. this is not an MDN reply generated by your mail server?

Iam using Horde Goupeware webmail 1.0.5.

How does your mailer configuration in Horde look like (horde/config/conf.php)? Note to myself: MIME_MDN::generate() doesn't pass mailer parameters to MIME_Message::send().
