I save all my sent-mail (and all my trash mail) for future reference. When I Report [mail] As Spam it sends the mail to the trash. At the end of each month I have to go through the trash folder and actually delete all the spam before saving the trash folder as trash-yyyy-mm.

Can we have an option which (or changes the default behaviour to) permanently deletes spam after I have reported it.

> Do you mean like in Options->Mail->Deleting and Moving Messages->What

> should we do with spam after it's reported?

Yes, only that option moves the deleted spam message to the Trash folder which is exactly what I don't want. I want it to be permanently deleted. Normal messages that I delete go to the Trash folder but with spam I never want to see it again. I keep my trashes in the same way I keep my sent mails. With the current system, I must go through the trash folder at the end of the month and delete (again) all the spam messages.

Ah. So you want spam to ignore the setting of your trash folder setting and simply purge spam.

Why not use a spam folder? Then just empty the folder?

Anyway, updating state for this then, so someone more intellegent then I can look at it ;)
