Body replied emails gets encoded wrong

When a user of Horde EAS with his smartphone reply a email the text of the replied email gets encoded wrong, but the body of the reply is OK If the same email is replied with the same client but using IMAP/SMTP the email gets encoded fine. one exampe, the original text is "Mañana......." and after replied is "MaÃ±ana"
