The body of the iframe displaying the advanced search screen has an overflow-y: hidden which makes the bottom screen part inaccessible if there is a large search form (many criteria/folders).

It's actually the HTML element that has the overflow set, not the body. Second problem: the iframe height is to large, so that even setting the overflow manually, the bottom screen part cannot be reached.
