In the telnet testing, when it asks you "hello, who are you?" the proper reply is "user mrk2" and not simply "mrk2".

And where is the bug in Passwd? It returns exactly the error that poppassd gives.

Deal All, When I tried to change passwdord then I got the following maeease. "Failure in changing password : 500 Unable to change password. " Also Bellow is the message log poppassd[4209]: [ID 488875 local2.error] failed attempt by mrk2 See the result also # telnet localhost 106 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. 200 poppassd v1.2 For Solaris 2 hello, who are you? mrk2 500 Username required. Connection to localhost closed by foreign host. #
