Excellent - I see that now.  Obviously I hadn't looked carefully 
enough, as clients/search does almost exactly what I want.

You're *really* in the wrong place if you're using the clients API for 
this. You want the contacts API.

a) defining a source goes against the way the whole clients api works; that's
what the regular functions are for.
Clarification:  are you saying that there should *not* be a way, via 
the API, to search/add/delete contacts in sources other than your 
personal addressbook?

It would be nice if doing a searchClients without defining any fields 
and names would return all clients in the given source(s).



I hacked up a bit of an attempt to do this , and even documented the 
function :)  It also lets you define a source if you want.



Go easy though, I have never used PHP or PHPdocumentor before...
