This is indeed done in IMP, lib/Crypt/SMIME.php to be exact.

Makes sense to me, but leaving this for someone else since I don't 
know enough about S/MIME to be able to properly test this change.

I'm not sure if this is an IMP or turba bug.



Saving an S/Mime certificate with "Save in your Address Book" in IMP uses

"Organisational Unit" as name.  "Common Name" would be better.

"Organisational Unit" and/or "Organisation" could be stored as Company 
in Turba
