Please ask on the mailing list for support. You probably want to use
the LDAP authentication backend.

They don't show up in the list ... so I suppose somewhere I should
tell horde or kronolith to use the ldap base as it's userbase ... but
I can't find out where ...

Why exactly can't he add the user? They don't show up in the list, or
there isn't a list, or ... ?

I've got some more info... infact even the groups weren't correct...:

The groups are now collected from the LDAP server ...

how to do the same for the users?

We've got a user that would like to give access to his agend for one
specific user of the group he belongs to... but he can't. He can only
give access to users that don't belong to any group or to the full
group.
