Thank you, that does the trick! Guess my eyes are too bad to have
noticed it ;). Sorry for any inconvenience...

There is an icon in the header of every mailbox that will search that
particular mailbox.  Clicking on the search icon in the menubar should
bring up a generic search interface.

Hi,

it used to be the case in earlier versions of IMP that when one
clicked on "Search", the default folder for the search was the one
last opened.

E.g. if I clicked on "Search" while browsing in the sent-mail folder,
the check-box for the "sent-mail"-folder was selected.

In current versions, the "INBOX"-folder is selected, no matter from
which folder I clicked on "Search".

It would be nice to have the previous way of handling the search,
because if one is (only) using the Inbox, it will still be the same
behaviour, for those with many folders, it is most likely that the
search will be aimed for (at least among others) the currently
selected folder.

Cheers,

Frederik.
