with Suhosin-Patch I have seen many things break when using a Suhosin patched PHP installation.

PS: I'm using imp-h3-4.1.4 with Hore 3.1.4 running on Apache/1.3.34 (Debian) with manually compiled PHP/4.4.7 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.8.25 OpenSSL/0.9.8c

In 20,000 mails/day traffic two independent users reported that after pressing "Send" the IMP acted like if a message was truly sent, but its copy was not stored in "sent-mail", the logs prove that the mail never passed SMTP server. By that time the log verbosity was set too low - it only reported login/logout.
