that was the problem:
"OpenSSL Support: No"
needs to be able to _read_ https pages, not to serve them. If
horde/test.php shows that you don't have openssl support, that's
likely the problem.

the cert being self-signed isn't relevant.

My server uses self signed certificate.
When I try to use my freebusy to have myself as an attendee, it will
the error:
No free/busy information found at the free/busy url of ...
My freebusy url looks like this:
