I used Horde::getAccessKeyAndTitle() instead.

The search-by-ID text field (upper right-hand corner of the whups
interface) should have an access key to allow rapid input of known ID.
  (Model: php.net allows you to strike Alt+S, type something, and
press enter:  99% of the time that gets me right to what I need.)

The attached patch assigns Alt+G (G is for "Go"), which doesn't appear
to be used on any of the whups pages.  I personally would prefer to
bind Alt+S to the search-by-ID field as it's easier to type when my
hand hits the home row; however, Alt+S is currently assigned to Search.
