This would make the interface unnecessarily complex. If you want to distribute files, use FTP. SMTP is not a suitable protocol for distributing file.

I think it should be possible to view linked attachments and the time they will be deleted. If i send an attachment twice and it is still uploaded i can take the link then and mustnt it upload again.
