I just tried this on a new setup on a completely different server and
you're right, I can't reproduce it there either.  What version of php
are you running by the way?

There seems to be a problem with Group Permissions being set, and the
listApps() function in Registry.php  I did the following starting from
a clear datatree db:

1) Create a group and put a couple people in it.

2) Add a permission for an application (I just tried Turba and Whups).

3) Give every permission to the group in 1).

4) Login as a non-admin user.

5) Click on any icon (I used Layout) and watch it go.

The system then goes into an infinite loop (at least I believe since I
left it for 15 mins once) all while Apache generates memory exhausted
errors.
