I'm not using a trash folder; mailbox cache is on. If that doesn't 
help let me know and I'll do some further poking.

When you move a message to another folder from the message view (not 
the mailbox view), you will skip ahead one message if and only if the 
message you just moved is already marked seen. If the message is 
unseen, then you'll go ahead to the next message (correct).
