Ugly as it is, looks like this hack works.  Committed to HEAD (and 
will be committed to dimp also).

Looks like we need the 'pre-wrap' attribute of white-space - but looks 
like it is only available as of CSS 2.1:

http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/text.html#white-space-prop



We definitely need white-space: pre; because if there is any sort of 
formatting at all in your message, it is totally destroyed when 
switching between spellcheck and edit mode.

When I click "Check Spelling" any wrapped lines become one long line, 
and there is a vertical scroll bar.  Kinda hard to explain, so 
screenshots are attached.
