The 'folders' parameter has been removed in IMP 4.1.  See imp/docs/UPGRADING

I had a similar problem with a newly upgraded horde/imp system.  I use
dovecot as my IMAP server.  In order to see my folder list in the left
sidebar I had to change my imp/config/servers.php configuration and
set my

folders => '',

where it was previously set to

folders => 'mail/'

I havent changed or updated dovecot nor anything else on this box
aside from horde/imp.

I am the other person who is also having this issue.  I have
Framework_3, Imp4.1-RC3... I couldn't even get this to work when I
checked subscribe to all folders.  If I create a subfolder, it shows
perfectly.  When I logout and log back in, it disappears.  This
happens in both the menu on the left and also in the folders page.  If
you need me to do any testing or need more info from me, please let me
know.

On all installation of the servers I have done, this problem occurs.
My conf is:

- distribution: debian woody

- imap server: courier-imap v 1.4.3 (tested with 3.0.8 with same result)

- imp 4.1-rc2

- web browser FF1.5 (same with ie)

I suspect some problem with cache system but I have disable it in imp
config. What do you need to help fixing this? I can send you all my
conf.php, prefs.php ...

I have also done a print_r on imptree before and after logout and the
subfolders disapeared. Do you want screen shot of these?

Do you want me to do additional test?

Somebody needs to provide me with exact details on how to reproduce
this, because on a correctly configured system all folders show up
correctly.  Until then, this bug will remain closed.

another test:

if I check 'use subscribed folders' and subscribe to all folders, then
it is ok

but if I don't check it as I want to see ALL the folders wether they
are or aren't subscribed to, the behaviour is like I have described

I don't think it is fixed is 4.1-RC3 as on the mailing list someone
has raised the same problem as me with imp-4.1-RC3 and he uses
courier-imap too

I don't understand:

I though that FRAMEWORK_3 was for stable releases and I have tested
4.1 Release Candidate 2. Do you mean it is fixed in 4.1-RC3?

Verified that this does not occur in current FRAMEWORK_3.

Needless to say, this is not reproducible for me.  You will have to
provide a lot more information if you expect us to debug this.  And
make sure you have upgraded your servers.php file properly if you
upgrade from IMP 4.0.x.

In the folders menu, I create a folder 'foo' and a subfolder 'bar'.
Everything is displayed correctly and if I refresh sidebar frame, it
si correctly displayed in it too.

Now if I logout and login, the subfolder isn't displyed neither in the
sidebar nor lthe folder menu.

However all the folders and subfolders are shown in the top right
dropdown box so IMP knows all my folder tree

I am using courrier-imap as imap server
