Dear Horde developer,
I just installed Horde's latest stable version (1.2.5) and as I was
marking some messages for deletion then when I clicked the button
'Delete' some normal (not marked for delete) messages completely
disappeared and were really gone. No way to recover them.
The ones left on the screen were the one I had marked for deletion,
which were now delete-striked-out.
I could not reproduce the fault yet but a friend of mine experienced
the same thing 2 days ago. I'm being careful now and doing some tests
on non important mail accounts.
Any sign of anybody else having the same problem.

Regards, Michel

I just reproduced incorrect message deletion again. Steps:

1. Sort by thread.

2. Reply to the 3rd-to-last message in your mailbox, assuming the
reply will reach you as well (mailing list or cc:).

3. Delete the 3rd-to-last message.

4. Go on to the last message.

5. At this point the reply has been delivered and because of thread
sorting is now essentially the 3rd-to-last message in the mailbox.

6. Delete what was the last message.

7. Instead of being taken back to the mailbox, I see the last message
again, and the message that had been 2nd-to-last, which I did not
delete, is now deleted. The last message (the one that's redisplayed)
is not deleted.

I've been tracking the commits and it hadn't seemed fixed so far.
However, I haven't seen an incorrect message being deleted this
morning. But I am still taken back to the message that was just
deleted sometimes.

I haven't been able to reproduce this lately.  How about you?

(and other symptoms). With some of the latest HEAD code changes, we
seem to have regressed a bit in handling updates to a mailbox. To
reproduce:

* view the last message in your INBOX (message "A")

* cause another message to be delivered

* delete the message being viewed (message "A")

The result in at least some cases is that the new message has been
deleted and you are viewing message "A" again.

Possible factors:

* trash folder is off

* it may only happen if the new message is _not_ last in the new sort
order (for instance, it has an earlier date, or it is sorted into an
earlier existing thread)
