This was actually an issue in Prefs.php. It has been fixed.

Just for the heck of it, can you try putting this line on line 108 in mailbox.php in CVS (last line in the 'change_sort' case): $prefs->store();

Now we're back to where we started. Every change requires a 2nd reload. The sort doesn't take effect until the 2nd load, either.

try once more. I am stumped more on where in the code the IMP_Mailbox:: object is being created before the sort pref is changed - since I can never reproduce what you are describing. and there is nothing in mailbox.php before the 'change_sort' block that creates an IMP_Mailbox object that I can see.

It seemed to work better before this last commit. It's pretty sporatic now. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, between various columns.

Better, but still not quite right. It works except for the Subject/Thread link. Clicking on the "small" link still requires a 2nd page load. Just in case that doesn't make sense, when the header link looks like: Subject [thread] Clicking on Subject works fine, but clicking on [thread] still requires a 2nd page load. Regardless of which column is currently selected.

I've noticed that the sorting does take effect on the first load, but the highlighted column header doesn't change until the 2nd. Still haven't had a chance to do any real troubleshooting myself, though.

I can reproduce this. Sometimes the first sorting change takes effect immediately, but subsequent ones don't show up immediately. For some reason this seems to be particularly evident if I have IMP open in one window and DIMP in another.

Whenever I click on a new column to sort by, or to change the order of the sorting, the page reloads as expected, but the new sort order does not take effect until the page reloads a 2nd time (either by waiting for the automatic refresh, or manually reloading)
